Job Duties
- Greeting and welcoming incoming patients
- Performing examination pre-testing and medical history for each patient appointment
- Maintaining/cleaning/scheduling repairs of ophthalmic equipment/machines
- Exam room maintenance (cleaning, organizing, restocking)
- Taking regular inventory of ophthalmic supplies, placing orders as needed, and keeping all exam and testing rooms stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assisting with administrative duties as needed: appointment scheduling, faxing/calling in medication prescriptions, filling records requests, preparing and sending referrals for patient care, and more.
- Training contact lens patients who are first-time wearers on proper insertion and removal of contacts
