Dr. Lizeth Gonzalez received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her Doctorate of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where she was part of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and traveled to the Dominican Republic to provide eye care to underserved communities. Though she is from Southern California originally, Dr. Liz has clinical experience working in various practice modalities throughout the greater Boston area and Miami, where she gained extensive training in Low Vision and the treatment of Ocular Diseases. Dr. Liz also has a focused interest in the treatment and management of Dry Eye Disease and Specialty Contact Lenses.

Dr. Liz is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. During her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and hiking with her shepsky, Tommy.

Dra. Lizeth González recibió su Licenciatura en Psicología de la Universidad de California, Los Ángeles (UCLA). Completó su Doctorado en Optometría en el New England College of Optometry en Boston, donde formó parte de Servicios de Optometría Voluntaria Para la Humanidad (VOSH), y viajó a la República Dominicana para brindar atención oftalmológica a comunidades desatendidas. Aunque originalmente es del sur de California, la Dra. Liz no solo tiene experiencia trabajando allí, sino también en diversas modalidades de práctica en el área metropolitana de Boston y Miami, donde obtuvo una amplia capacitación en baja visión y el tratamiento de enfermedades oculares.

Dr. Paris Montgomery is from San Diego, California, and received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of California, San Diego. She completed her Doctorate of Optometry degree in Boston at the New England College of Optometry and graduated with clinical honors, completing rotations at diverse community health centers throughout the greater Boston area, the Bedford VA Hospital, and private optometry and ophthalmology clinics in California and New Hampshire. She has a focused interest in myopia control, fitting specialty contact lenses, and dry eye disease management and has received extensive training in these fields.

Dr. Paris is a member of the California Optometric Society and the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control. Being new to the Bay Area, she is excited to provide care to the San Mateo community and is always looking for new restaurant recommendations, loves to travel, go hiking, and go to concerts in her free time.

Dr. William To has multiple years of healthcare experience providing design-based ocular care, with an optometric emphasis in Pediatrics, Dry Eye Therapy, and Ocular Surface Disease.

He graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor’s in Human Biology and a minor in Psychology and earned his Doctorate in Optometry from Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Will is regularly invited to several Optometric Conferences and Colleges of Optometry each year to lecture to his colleagues and students, having given over 100 lectures and written several published editorials.

When he’s not caring for his amazing patients, Dr. Will enjoys traveling every chance he gets. As a Bay Area native, he has taken on leadership roles both in the local community and beyond, serving as the President of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society and on several California Optometric Association and American Optometric Association committees. He is actively involved with a variety of community outreach and social programs.

Dr. Will is an avid Golden State Warriors and 49ers fan.

Khanh Nguyen is an accomplished and goal-driven Office Manager with over a decade of optical experience. She loves to think outside the box and enjoys being creative. What keeps her driven is that all patients who walk out of Optical Illusions will have the optimum level of service and care and will be satisfied with their experience. She has expertise in selecting the best fit and style of frames for different faces worldwide. On the back-end, she enjoys diving into corporate strategy and is continuously learning on how to improve business growth. She graduated at the University of California Santa Cruz with a major in Biology and by chance ended up working in the Optical field.

Khanh Nguyen is a jujitsu and cross-fit enthusiast who loves to take road trips with her family. You can usually find her car camping in Pismo beach which is one of her favorite spots. In her free time, she loves to fish up North but nothing beats her experience fishing for salmon at the Russian River in Alaska.

Victor has been with Optical Illusions for nearly 12 years and has over 18 years of optical experience. He is the frame buyer for all of our locations and has a good eye for selecting the most trendy and high quality style of frames. Victor enjoys working with and building great relationships with patients.

In his spare time, Victor enjoys traveling with his wife and three daughters. He is a huge foodie and an avid 49ers and Giants fan.

Irma has been in the optical industry for over 16 years. She is incredibly patient-focused, detail-oriented, and computer-savvy. She currently lives in Gqeberha, formerly known as Port Elizabeth, South Africa. When she is not working, Irma loves spending time exploring the outdoors with her husband in her free time.

In his spare time, he is a cycling and motorcycling junkie who loves to travel to different scenery with friends, read books, and play games.
