Dr. Erica Ngo graduated from University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry and a Minor Japanese and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry (NSUOCO). She is regularly attending several Optometric Conferences and discussion groups to educate others on practice management and clinical pearls. Since then Dr. Erica has dedicated her career to elevating private practice optometry and the patients in her community. Under her leadership, Optical Illusions: An Optometric Practice has become recognized for clinical excellence, advanced technology, and a curated luxury eyewear collection.

Though she is a Bay Area transplant, Dr. Erica has taken on leadership roles both in the local community and beyond, serving as an active member of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society, an active member of the California Optometric Association, and an active member of the American Optometric Association. I’ve always been fascinated by how vision affects everyday life. I love the idea of helping people see better and feel more confident in their day-to-day activities and making a real difference in their health and well-being. to me. I am able to create true connections with patients and help their unique situations.

What is your favorite Eyewear Brand?

My favorite eyewear brand is Zero G. I love how lightweight they are – it feels like I’m barely wearing anything at all. They also have a great selection of fun, vibrant colors, which makes it easy to express my personal style. They’re a perfect mix of comfort and design.

My new favorite eyecare technology in the practice is the Topcon TERA. The detailed imaging it provides allows us to evaluate the health of the meibomian glands and tear film, which is crucial in helping us offer targeted treatments and monitor progress over time, improving patient outcomes significantly..

What is your favorite place to Travel?

My favorite places to travel are Japan and Spain. In Japan, I love the mix of rich tradition and cutting-edge modernity, from serene temples to bustling cities. Spain draws me in with its vibrant culture and delicious cuisine.

What is your favorite Sports Team?

My favorite sports team is the Golden State Warriors. I admire their teamwork, discipline, and ability to innovate on the court. Watching them play is inspiring because it shows how preparation, focus, and collaboration can lead to exceptional results.
